The Red Moon Lower Level Development is a testament to how thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship can create a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and deeply personal. Our collaboration with Lisa Clark and our network of tradespeople resulted in a vibrant and functional area that beautifully represents the family's cultural heritage while offering a comfortable and inviting environment for their new home.
This project involved the development of a 1100 sqft lower level in a walkout basement for a family who recently immigrated from the tropical island of Mauritius. The aim was to integrate elements of their rich cultural heritage while maximizing the natural light available in the space. Over a span of four months, our team transformed this area into a functional and stylish living environment that reflects the family’s unique background and enhances their everyday living experience.
From the outset, we collaborated with the homeowners to understand their desire for a design that seamlessly blended cultural elements with modern functionality. The design phase, led by Lisa Clark, focused on incorporating vibrant and traditional Mauritian motifs while ensuring the space was bright and inviting. The open-plan design was carefully planned to enhance the natural light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
To bring this vision to life, we worked closely with a skilled network of tradespeople:
